Resilience measure: Grated channels

definition

Grated channels collects water at the side of the road and can channel water in storm drains into the harbour.

Co-benefits and impacts

Grated channels allow to handle the rainwater as close to the source as possible and diverting it away from the sewer systems and wastewater treatment plants, thereby bringing down the chance of combined sewer overflows.
